Overview

Poker Pursuit is Microgaming’s new version of the world famous card game “Let It Ride”. It is an easy five card poker game that does not offer any redraws. As a result, Poker Pursuit bears a lot of resemblance to a video poker game, and yet, it is strikingly unique.

Before You Proceed

The main goal of Poker Pursuit is to calculate the probabilities of drawing the desired cards and create winning combinations in order to maximize the winnings. In this game, all the five cards are never dealt together. The game first deals players with three cards and then offers them a chance to either raise the bet or call. After the players make a decision, fourth card is dealt. Again, players can choose to raise or call the bet, depending on their card combinations. Once the choices are made, the fifth card is also dealt. Poker Pursuit has no wild cards. The maximum payout that this game has to offer is 3000 coins.

Game Basics

Like any other Microgaming game, Poker Pursuit is adorned with well crafted graphics and soothing sound effects. The screen displays a payout table at the top and a card slot for showcasing 5 cards at the bottom. The boxes that show the bet and win amounts and the raise and call buttons are located below the 5 cards. Before starting the game, players have to finalize on the bet amounts by clicking the plus and minus buttons located on the bottom of the screen. Once a player clicks on the right buttons, , he/ she must click on the ‘Deal’ button. This will automatically display the first three cards for the player. After examining these cards, the player can choose to raise the bet amount or call the bet. Raising the bet increases the bet amount by one coin. After this, the fourth card is dealt and the player once more has the option to raise or call the bet. This is followed by the dealing of the fifth card. After this final card has been dealt, the player is offered a payout as per the payout table, provided the hand features a winning poker hand. If the player’s hand does not have any winning hand, the game is over and he/ she can start afresh.
